Daniel Bergeson And Fellow ABTL Officers Back Judicial Independence

Partner Daniel J. Bergeson and fellow Association of Business Trial Lawyers (“ABTL”) Officers Lawrence Cirelli, Bruce Ericson and Rachel Brass address the issue of judicial independence in an open letter to the Editor of the Recorder. The ABTL Officers discuss their views on judicial elections, specifically stating that “they should be focused on competence and character, and not be allowed to degenerate into partisan struggles, or attacks on who originally appointed a judge, or how a judge ruled in a particular case, or on a judge’s age or ethnicity.”
