Jaideep Venkatesan’s Article on the DTSA Highlighted in The ABTL Report

Bergeson Partner Jaideep Venkatesan’s Article “The Defend Trade Secrets Act Two Years Later” was published in the Fall 2018 edition of the ABTL Northern California Report.  Mr. Venkatesan’s article examines how federal courts have interpreted the Defend Trade Secrets Act (“DTSA”) in the two years since its enactment in May 2016.  The article covers how courts have applied the Act’s ex parte seizure provisions, the inevitable disclosure doctrine’s applicability under the DTSA, and federal pleading requirements for DTSA claims.
